Agreed, at full price, I would not purchase. But this is a fairly steep discount. I would say it's comparable to other headphones in this price range imo. I've bought headphones on other website recommendations (overall consensus is to avoid Beats at all costs) but I have been mostly unimpressed. I tried a pair of Beats solo2 in Target and liked them more than any of my previous headphones. Hopefully I like these studios too.

Looks like the same price. Unless you are talking about the Solo 3 deal. Those are on ear headphones, so I guess it depends on your preference. I want the over the ear with noise cancellation because I work in an open office, the Solo would be useless to me.

same price looks like. May get a tad less with a Target credit if you want to wait. The pre-sale seems to sell out quickly so I jumped on this one with Best Buy vs. savings another $8 now. I may check on BF and do a return to Best Buy if I end up picking up more at Target.

There are plenty of Beats haters but I own these along with several other high end BT cans and I find myself wearing these the most. I find the sound stage fairly balanced albeit punchy. The big bonuses for me are the portability and comfort for extended on the go listening.

If you are in the market, for this price I would bite

I have them and use them for the gym. Highly recommend them. Just take good care of them, they can last a long time. Just recently the foam cups started to peel on mine. Bought a set of foam cups for $10 on eBay and the headphones look brand new.

I've owned these for about 1 month after losing a set of JBL Everest 750NC and I will say they are quite great. Battery life is excellent and the adaptive noise cancelling or whatever they call it works great when traveling.

Bonus is that these come with a nice hard case that I can keep attached to my travel bag (no more losing loose headphones). Wish I got a deal this good though

Well worth the $160.

I think they are very underwhelming. I have a medium sized head and they take a long time to feel ok for any length of wear. I am not an audiophile by any means and all of these headphones around this price range really comes down to personal taste. I have enjoyed the Sams Club deal on Pioneer headphones and haven't listened to the Beats since. Also have the Audio Technica M50x, Sol Republic, and V-Moda Crossfade. These were all around this price-point at some point in their lifespan, the most comfortable being the Pioneer, AudioTechnica, and V-Moda in that order.
