I got one of these near release. Awesome card, good sweet spot for 1080 displays. Highly recommend if that's all you are trying to do. Struggles with 1440 and 2160 though.

I have been watching new cards for a while now.

I still have a old working EVGA 670 4gig - that has not given me any issues - but I know there's a significant upgrade from the 1060/1070 line without breaking the bank.

This looks like a decent deal - but I think I'm going to wait a little longer this close to BF.

I'd love to get an EVGA branded one for like sub $250

Gonna wait and see if cheaper for black Friday. In need of a GPU since May. Intergrated GPU ain't cutting it for overwatch.
If you're just playing over watch dependent on your resolution a 1050ti would be more than enough

jeez seems alot for a non 1440p/4k card.
The 1050ti can be had for literally half at $130 and that is excellent at 1080p as well.
Altho I guess the 1060 is capable of VR... I just can't justify the price jump.

This only makes sense if you have exactly $260 in the piggy bank.

Because otherwise, the 1080 has the exact price to performance ratio come black friday sales.

My 770 isn't cutting it for Forza Horizon 3 so I need an upgrade. I really wish I'd bought this last year.

blame the ungodly demand by miners for such high prices.

Blame the miners when awesomer graphics cards are developed from all the money being put to R&D
