Rtings gives the p607 (or 605) the edge although it recommends each for their respective sizes (55" vs. 60"). I just bought the p605 during this holiday season and I love it but it's a tough choice:http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/...-2017-p607 vs http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/x690e

Better tv @ 55" or worse (but how much worse?!) tv @ 60"......

For now, things like the superior smart TV features and general laziness are keeping me in the TCL camp. Besides, wirecutter is usually right about these things....https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-tv/

Thanks for the info. I was still leaning on the TCL basically cuz thats what I did most my research around. I was just hoping it would drop just a little bit more for BF. The extra 5" doesnt matter to me. Neither does smart feature since i have most the devices like Roku separate already.

I feel similarly. Honestly as The wirecutter review suggests the tv picture is on par with a >$1000 tv so I feel like I got a great deal at $599 (even if it wasn't on sale).

But as a fellow slickdealer it feels odd to buy something at sticker and feel good about it Smilie

Well I'm so close to BF and its not like i dont have a working TV so way not wait and make sure it does or doesnt go on sale lol. I'm coming from a 46" Panny Plasma max resolution 720p lol. I'll be hanging on to it cause plasma has a special place in my heart, but its about that time to upgrade. I'd prob go with the 605 at BB so it was easier to return if i have an issue.

Does anyone know if the deal will be on the 720 series 4k, the 800 series 4k HDR or both on BF?
