If I recall target is same deal but you can get 5% off with card.

Plus this would get you over threshold for the 20% off coupon for future visit

So this works as a hub also. Does it require an Ethernet input like the Phillips hue hub does?

What is the difference between the echo and echo plus? Is it worth it to get the plus?

Reviews are suggesting that even though the Echo Plus has ZigBee support for home automation, it has worse audio than the previous model. To clarify, they both accept commands and can control alexa compatible devices, but the new one can directly control additional, standardized hardware.

It does not work as a hub. The echo plus works as a zigbee hub. This is like the original echo

If it were me, I'd get the previous model and a SmartThings hub instead.

I have the new echo, the old echo (speaker) and even my old echo dot (voice pickup) work better than my new echo

Check out the product reviews on amazon. They all indicate the prior version was better. Still popping up on sale online at various places for around $80.

Yeah zigbee only hub on the Echo is a waste of time unless all you ever want to do is hue lights.
