Was looking at the Vizio M75-E1 and then I came across this deal on the 850E. Any suggestions?

The 850e is very dim(low brightness) tv. Make sure you it check first before you buy. I would spend a little more to get the 900e model.

I remember the year 2008 when I spend $2000 on a panasonic tv.. one of the worst financial decisions I ever made! I will never spend over $1000 for a tv anymore

It is an IPS panel so black levels will look very bad in dark rooms. I️ have the 75x850d and it's definitely quite a big issue for me.

I'd prefer to buy M series visio instead of E series

On the contrary. The viewing angles should be excellent. That's inherent in IPS panels. The downside is the much lower contrast / black level. If you need wide viewing angles and will view in a lit room, this would be excellent.

Any TV enthusiests want to share their thoughts on this vs https://slickdeals.net/f/10706880-70-vizio-xled-e70-e-4k-uhd-hdtv-878-free-shipping-sam-s-club-11-11-1day-sale?page=7
Quite a different set. No WCG / no true HDR. Has a VA panel so better contrast though. I'd say the Sony is a much better set, but the Vizio M70 may be a good compromise to consider.

Looking forward to picking this up - I went and saw it at Best Buy. No issues and they had it in the Magnoila section so I saw it with the lights down. I have the XBR65X930D and I'm very happy with it except for the occasional random reboot. Android TV with Kodi and other apps makes it awesome. If concerned just buy the warranty - get a new TV 5 years from now. BB honors the technology vs just the price. Even then, 4-5 years from now if it goes bad I'm sure much better TV's will be around. Was on the fence with the larger size or 65 OLED and I think the size is more suitable for my situation at the moment with a large living room.
