How is this compare to the Vizio P65-E1 for $1300 from Costco a few weeks ago? I'm wondering if it's worth returning the Vizio to get this for $200 more.

The 900e is a much better TV for processing upscaled images and in general more reliable than a Vizio. At $1500 it would be the same price as the current best P65 price, but even at $1300 the difference is still in Sony's favor.

It all matters if you want Dolby Vision as to whether you'd want the vizio with a difference of 0-200 less.

I've been trying to decide between the two at a $300 difference, but with BB having this on Black Friday it's worth it to buy the Sony.

IMO Sony should be a better TV . My Vizio P65-E1 from Costco . Occasionally I see a line of Flickr in a specific portion of the screen now & then.: I hope it does not turn out to be a permanent line damage. But that's the quality of Vizio. With much better brands , the quality goes higher... if you get this go for Sony . Even I am gonna try for a return to Costco & grab this deal

Excellent set. I would go with Sony over the Vizio for the superior upscaling, but both are great sets.

Nice deal. High price is mostly driven by the its crisp picture quality (based on the processor, HDR, motionrate....) one can see compared to other lower end TV. But should I spend 2x for that crispness? very hard to decide. Repped OP.
