I got this for around the same price a couple of years ago. If you're not a tech geek with a PL over 9k, it's perfectly fine and serviceable.

Wired mouse with decent length and haven't had any issues with it. A little light and cheap feeling though. The keyboard gets the job done but does have issues with certain motherboards for post commands over USB. It doesn't become functional until you hit OS so you need a spare keyboard handy to enter bios and stuff. Afaik that's only certain mobos.

It also has media keys on the top of the keyboard that have never been reliably functional for me. I.e. Clicking volume down once will hold volume down until I unplug the keyboard.

Using it as a budget combo, it's worth the price

Don't expect the quality of a Razer, but the kit is decent for the price. For 10 bucks its a no brainer. I have one of these on my Kids PC and works great.

Noob here. What's the difference between the mech boards vs standard? Aside from the noticeable clicking.

The switch engages before the key is fully depressed, decreasing twitch reaction time.

I have Amazon Business account. Last time I got free shipping even the total was under $25. This time I don't get free shipping even this item is ship and sold by Amazon. Weird.

I'm definitely not a good enough gamer where that would make a difference in the slightest.

Got a set from last promo few weeks ago, they are more like gaming look keyboard and mouse, not bad for the price if you need a daily keyboard use with small amount of gaming. Somehow only a couple days the wheel on the mouse start makes noise like it's out of lubricate, so be aware of that these might not be super grade quality.

You can also get the devastator 3 combo for 20 after rebate. It seems to have 7 led options you can switch between instead of one color. Also currently have the devastator 2 combo for the last 7 months with daily use/gaming. No problems so far, but it's gonna be moved to my backup setup now. Just picked up my new gear from the best buy Logitech deal.

Been using this combo since summer, very happy with it considering how cheap the price is. Uses "Mem-chanical Switches" which is exactly how it sounds. I think I've only ever used membrane keyboards so for me this keyboard has a satisfying clacking noise to the keys. I'm sure it won't be that great to people with actual mechanical keyboards though. Only problem I have is that the red backlight makes some of the number/special character keys hard to read.

I think this is as good as it gets? I'm in for one. Any known issues? I've heard about some scroll lock issue?

Re post issue - you need to enable legacy USB in BIOS and possibly have to plug the keyboard into one of the "legacy" USB ports as described in motherboard's manual.
