https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-M...=mx+master Amazon has the MX Master for $49.99, this is the lowest I've seen for it new recently. There is a new model for those wondering, which explains the drop.

I was going to say that this was probably a part of yesterday's master Logitech @ Amazon post, but that is not the case.

Thanks for sharing, OP!

Reminder - only 1 year warranty, and these still use shitty omron d2fc-7-n clickers that wear out in 18-36 months

For those who are curious, the new model on Amazon is $150 or $100 depending on color. The main differences are longer battery life this version is 40 days, new model is 70 days, and the max dpi resolution on this model is 1600 vs 4000 on the new version. I'm new to buying mice, is the dpi difference worth twice the price?

Yup - afaik Logitech uses those clickers on all their full size mice. I've seen them on the original MX revolution, the Performance MX, the MX Master, the G502 and G602.

EDIT: Realized I included Anywhere and Marathon in my original list but forgot that those use SMT clickers; the D2FC-7-Ns are through holes.

This is a great mouse. Got this at newegg the other day for the same price. Arrived in our early day. Now I need to decide who should get it for Christmas...

Is this better than Performance MX? The only thing I didn't like about Performance was its battery life.

Mine went out after 16 months. FYI. Logitech told me to buy another. Not happening.

It doesn't take a crystal ball to notice a recurring point of failure.

If other mice have experienced failures/malfunctions because of these switches, then using the same switches in this mouse will likely have the same result.

Thank you, and lol @ the question... those switches have mean time to failure on their datasheets so we know that already from testing.

I get that. All products are made to fail. That's the world we live in. I work for FCA and cars we make only engineered to ~100k or less
My point is that at 50 bucks I can run it for 2 years. And to get a new switch. 6 bucks for pack of two. So in a way 56 bucks buys me 6 years of usage. Or until battery failure
