Although it is YMMV, Walmart has this at a lower price ($39.88) and it is in stock at 65% of stores as of right now.

I don't think the VZW version can be used on VM though.
But the VM version doesn't seem to have the fingerprint sensor (not listed on VM's site, BB says yes but they are often wrong on specs)

VM/Boost versions E4 -> No Fingerprint scanner. Not worth it.

Are you sure? From the BB webpage...
Your fingerprint keeps your phone secure
Swipe your finger on the backside sensor panel to unlock your phone.

The Moto E4 is crippled on Sprint, so most likely the same on VM: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/MOTO...-p/3778205

That doen't say it isn't included. Maybe it just was not listed. In any event, I could care less if it has a fingerprint scanner. Not sure why that would be a deal breaker for anyone unless you were CIA...

You can see from any picture of the Boost/VM version E4 .... that there is no fingerprint scanner.

And that was what I thought too as I never had a phone with a scanner before.
After only testing my Verizon E4 for a few days with the fingerprint scanner. I had to sign up for a new service and make the E4 my daily driver because I could never go back to my old phone without it. After 3 more weeks I brought another E4 as backup.

If you use your phone in-car .... you would not want to go back to unlocking the phone with a 4-digit pin. Trust me.

I have never had a lock on my phone. Not sure why I would need too....

Really strange. I have been into two WalMart stores over the past wek and both have a 59.00 price on the shelf for this phone but when I used your brickseek above it shows the 39.88 price.

Did you use the app to scan or a price checker? Sometimes they don't update the shelf sticker.

If you look at the image, the Moto logo is on the bottom where the fingerprint sensor is on the VZW model. If the feature was available, it WOULD be listed since it's a selling point.

OTOH, if you already have a VM account this is attractive for the 2GB/16GB at this price.

The 2GB of RAM is why I want it. A little room than my current 1.5GB Tribute HD (along with Android 7)

Same here, but I feel obligated to get some use out of the Moto G3 that I bought over a year ago before it got really discounted and only just now started using. Replaced an old 4" Samsung Victory I used for far too long. Have a spare Tribute 2 that I haven't even opened, too. Trying to justify those purchases and get some use out of it otherwise I'd all over this. I love the VZW version of the Moto E4 I got a few months ago, You'll love it, even w/o the fingerprint sensor.
