This has the 7th Gen i7

I know Gen 8 is weeks/month away. What's a good price for this one?

I know the 6th Gen MSI Stealth has been $999/1050/1100 recent front page deals, but I'd prefer 7th/8th gen

....
Why? 7700 perform the same as 6700 in games. Why pay $300 more lol.

Why this is getting down-voted?
This set up has 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD.
Seeems bettter deal than 1150$ on Newegg which has one gen. older processor and 2x smaller SSD, which would have to be replaced either way if you want some SSD storage.

Buying new 256Gb SSD + ~2-3hrs changing drives seems more expensive than saving 150$ in rebate.

I'm hunting down this laptop for a while and I'm looking for best deal towards black friday/cyber monday. If I could find 256gb SSD + Nvidia 1060(6gb) setup under 1200$ I would be ready to take away instantly, but for now - I'm still on hold.

I have this laptop and it's great. Plays games on high to ultra settings in 1080p all day! With 60 average fps.
