The fine print for Sprint says, "Requires a Simply Everything or Everything Data plan and a $10 Premium Data add-on."

I'm unfamiliar with Sprint plans and cannot find either of these plans on the Sprint website. Does anyone know what the price is for these plans? Or can anyone link to it? Because this fine print seems to kill the deal if the plan is priced like most post-paid plans.

UPDATE: After talking to a rep, she said those plans are old plans but since Best Buy is advertising them, they would still be able to apply them to my account. Turns out the price is about $100 per line!

Thumbs down for a very, very bad price. The $300 off is not worth spending more than double on your monthly plan!

Not sure what the rep meant exactly. Nowadays, on every carrier, you pay a base price for service plus a monthly payment for the phone, usually the price of the phone spread out to 24 months. As for Sprint, right now you can get service up to 5 lines for $100 total. Then, whichever line you want to apply this deal to is the amount beyond $100 per month that you have to pay. So let's say the original price of the Note 8 is $950; after $300 discount, the price of the phone is $650; $650/24 = $27.08 per month for the phone. So if you only get one Note 8 phone, your total monthly payment would be $127.08 + taxes & fees. If you want more phones on other lines, then you just add up the monthly payments of all phones plus the $100 service.

That would be true if you were signing up to Sprint's "Unlimited Freedom" plans. But the fine print clearly identifies the plan that you must sign up to. That plan is $100 per month per line!

Where do you see this fine print? I see the following on the Best Buy website:

Samsung Galaxy Note8 (SKU: 6015909). Installment billing plan: Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $636. Total Price $936. Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SKU: 5912800). Installment billing plan: Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $516. Total Price $816. Samsung Galaxy S8 (SKU: 5912700). Installment billing plan: Verizon Device Payment. Total Sale Price $420. Total Price $720. Savings are deducted off the full total price of the device and are reflected in reduced monthly payments over the life of the device. Carriers, coverage and products may vary by store. Requires credit approval, wireless service plan, qualifying device and an installment billing agreement for the carrier's required term. $0 down for well-qualified customers. For all others, down payment and other restrictions may apply. Monthly device payments for term (20-30 months subject to carrier) at retail price. 0% APR. Sales tax (on total price) may be due at purchase. If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance on device becomes due. Restocking fee & other charges may apply. Number of financed devices per account limitations may apply. Subject to carrier terms and conditions. Terms subject to change. Sprint: Sprint requires eligible upgrade or new activation. Excludes prepaid and unlocked phones. See an Associate or BestBuy.com/Mobile for details. Limited quantities. No rainchecks. Minimum of 5 total per store in Michigan and Ohio. Colors vary by store.

According to that, seems like the only fine print is "Sprint: Sprint requires eligible upgrade or new activation."

It's on the Product Features page:
Quote :
Phone activation required before use. Carrier activation fees may apply.

Requires a Simply Everything or Everything Data plan and a $10 Premium Data add-on.

The Early Termination Fee is prorated and is calculated by taking the months remaining on your Service Agreement times $20 for Advanced Devices, with a maximum of $350 and minimum of $100

That has to be a misprint. Those are old plans that can't even be offered anymore

Ask yourselves, do you really need another phone? Is it a want or a need?
