Thanks, it looked like a big drop in price from MSRP and honestly I posted this deal more of a discussion then slickness. I don't know a single person who has 82" TV as it might be an overkill for most houses, but with more 4K content, I am guessing this can be really useful. Does it make you nauseous ? How far are you sitting from TV?

I thought 75" would be my cut off, but 82" might be fun to have. I sit about 16' from TV and I have a large room, that's why I was thinking of 75".
Currently have 52" and it looks big as it is and I thought 75" would be yuuuuge.

I am waiting for this TV to hit the sub 3000 mark to buy one. I have everything in place to replace my 52" with this TV.

I used to have a 52" in my living room and it seemed really small and I'm closer than you are (around 14'). I now have a 65, but really wanted a 70 or 75 incher but deals on those sizes are hard to come by (although they seem to be getting a little better lately). If you were sitting 10-12' away then I would say that this is overkill, but it should be perfect for your viewing distance.

It was $2800 through Unidays directly from Samsung. You could also use Samsung Works. Either Employer or Student discount.

Yeah, I think more and more I see 65"s I don't think I'd be happy with that size, I will probably need go with 75 or larger. But the deals on 65s are so attractive, it's hard to pass. If I get a 65", I'll most likely wish I went with 75".

I really don't mind paying $2500 for 75" or $3000 for 80" but I want to make sure I am getting moneys worth in terms of features, not just the screen size.
I don't know if $2500 75" is in line with $2000 65" and not the $800 65" we've been seeing lately.

I sit about 10' from my 4-yr old 75" Samsung 6000 series. I'm ready for an upgrade. In my case, anything larger may be overkill but that won't stop me. =)

I have one and love it. i am about 14 ft from it. Movie theater (replaced my old DLP 82". nice all the floor space i get back) . Its amazing how you get used to it. Smilie Bought it about 2 months ago from one of the warehouse store. Price just dropped there to 3279 plus tax, so they made me buy a new one and return it to get a price adjustment (if under 30 days price adjustment, if over buy new and return). So i have 90 more days to return it.

Unidays\samsung(Student) deal has it down to 2969.99 (I think no tax) and free shipping. Anyone think this will go back to the 2600 range i heard it was early this month?

Anyone know when they roll out the new models?

thanks everyone. For all the money you help me spend!

Ah man, I wish I had room, I have cabinets next to my TV space, so I think 75 is biggest I can do. I should check since there shouldn't be much difference between 75 and 80 but this is 82"

Unidays had it for $2639 plus tax and free shipping. I got distracted at work and didn't pull the trigger fast enough. When I got home it was adjusted to 2969. If I could find it from an authorized dealer for under 3k out the door, I'd be in. But for some reason every other TV in the line has dropped the last two weeks, but the 82" hasn't budged.
