Interesting setup.
This is arguably the most powerful 2-in-1 laptop currently. If you need a powerful machine for CPU intensive tasks and good graphics power but don't want to sacrifice the portability completely then this is the best choice. This is also pretty solid device for digital artists and content creators because of the Pen support with 4098 level of Pressure sensitivity. This supports Wacom active digitizer. So you can any third party wacom pen with it. Lenovo first gen Active pen with 2048 sensitivity is around $28 and Wacom Bamboo with 4096 sensitivity is around $60.

I considered this laptop months ago until I read there're some issues with over heating and heavy throttling on this machine. I'd look at the 8th gen i7 2in1. They perform very close to the 7700hq and runs alot cooler and longer. The HP Spectre x360 is on my watch list for BF.

It does not have overheating issue but throttling exists. However, the Throttling is not because of improper cooling but Lenovo's software to reduce the Power limit to 35W from 45W after some times full load. This can be very easily removed by using free software called Throttlestop. Once configured for the fist time, which is a bit complex, disabling and enabling throttling is one click. I own this and I have done this with full success.

was actually waiting for this laptop to go on sale again for the 2-3 months. But since it's almost Black Friday I'll wait another 2 weeks for the 8th generation i7 of this version, Dell XPS, or HP Spectre 360.
The HP Spectre 360 15.6'' with almost the same specs will be on sale for $1200 at Best Buy during BF. Havent seen any deals on the XPS 15 yet.
