Sears tool reset clearance YMMV in store only

Sears is resetting the tool section in some stores. The stuff not on the reset is marked 50% off or so in some stores, possibly more depending on what it is.

Sears is renegotiating with their partners/suppliers for their tools.

Way too much to list, everything from tool boxes to power tools to socket sets to sawblades. Some of the stuff is still stocked on the website, I bought some impact sockets that were $119 on their site for $50. I got a tap and die set for $12. I got an older Craftsman impact set that I couldn't even find new anywhere and was $45 used on eBay for $12. They had a couple of Craftsman jacks too but I dont remember the price though they seemed cheap, maybe $12-25.

Had lots of iindividual saw blades, drill bits, Dremel accessories, some dealt stuff, tool chests, garage shelving. Had quite a few of the mechanics tool sets with the better wrenches but they're quite expensive to start.

Another location I went to had a large quantity of marked down air compressors of all different sizes. Some were pretty cheap but I didn't need an air compressor and they must have had 15 different ones.

Probably most of the ones they plan on keeping open, but what they have will likely depend in their original assortment,

Per the agreement Stanley pays Sears a royalty and can make Craftsman branded tools to sell elsewhere where Sears retains the right to source them from whoever they want.

I guarantee this will lead to lots of confusion.

Even if Sears closes they have hundreds of mechanics tool sets at just the two stores I was at today. Someone will eventually end up owning the stuff.

Lowes won't have the stuff until next fall from what I hear, which makes sense, deal just closed probably need 6 months lead just to make enough for the nationwide rollout.

When you say an older impact set, do you mean impact grade sockets?

Yes, it was some set the don't have anymore on their website or otherwise, gotta be pretty old. They also had impact wrenches, guns, evolve and Craftsman impact socket sets. It was at least a 32 ft displayed section of stuff, tool boxes were just boxed on the floor. The other location I went to had tons of air compressors but less of the other stuff. It'll probably vary drastically depending on location. I'm debating whether or not to drive 35 miles to another tomorrow because no one shops at that one and it has tons of tools.
