Amazon's msrps are laughable, but this one is egregious, probably there to catch the attention of deal sites.

It's interesting, these deals... you can usually click on the seller and see other products they're selling, some with coupons as well.

For example, you can also find "Car Window Shade" for $1.55 after clicking on the coupon for the product page at https://www.amazon.com/Adaphor-Wi...ds=Adaphor -- It's temporary out of stock too but you can place the order.

I'm starting to think the deals like this one with a coupon and out of stock that takes it down from around $10-ish to around $2-ish is a new scam people are running on Amazon. I've been burned before by shady sellers on Amazon.

Has anyone actually had any if these out of stock coupon items ship yet? Like the silicone muffin pan a week or so ago?

I think they're hoping you forget to ask Amazon about refunding your money after it hasn't shipped for a month, or two....

I have had similar orders with no problems. I'm not charged until later down the road when the thing ships (I have had one item cancelled on me, come to think of it). I mean, the pre-coupon prices of these things are still too much in most cases, so this could be just a case of "making the product seem like it's worth more than it is".

But as far as whether there is something "odd" going on, I do wonder that. I did notice, in one of these threads on SlickDeals involving a product with a coupon like this (can't even recall the product itself), what appeared to be... almost you could call them "bots" or something, commenting on their approval of the brand. Except for a few differences like the "product" they purchased or the exact thing it did, everything else was word-for-word the same as far as their approval.
