How does this compare with Acer One 10 - atom processor - which will you be more happier?

For 5 year old refurbished tech I don't think this is worth it. Only reason I would consider it is it would be (marginally) faster than my current laptop, but again almost $200 for this is not good. I got a surface pro 3 when they were brand new with a keyboard for 600. This should be under 100 for sure

This would be more powerful than Acer One 10?

Feels like a scam. I recommended a Surface Pro to a friend of mine, now I'll have to warn them about this kind of "deal". I should have realized this was coming, when Microsoft decided to drop the numbering for new Surfaces.

Is this really not a decent deal at $170? The price seems in line with, or better than, what this is going for on eBay. The screen is a fairly bright & crisp with FHD resolution plus excellent touch screen. It includes the better keyboard (type cover), and also the Wacom stylus. My biggest questions are whether it can upgrade to Win 10 Pro for free and also what condition the battery is in. I think new, battery life is rated at just 4.5 hrs.

Does anyone know whether Newegg would accept returns if battery life isn't good?

Any other sub-$200 deals out there that are better than this? I am trying to replace an Asus TP200S that I got for $150 just over a year ago. The 32GB drive has made upgrading Windows a royal pain (I finally took it to the MS store yesterday - they are wiping it for me and doing a clean install for free). And right after the warranty ended, a cable went bad (or something like that) resulting in a severely washed out, flickering screen. Asus hasn't been terribly helpful with either the Windows update or fixing the screen.

It has a Standard Return Policy. I think the battery issue will be covered.

Return for refund within: 60 days
Return for replacement within: 60 days
Restocking Fee: 0.00%

As to whether or not this is a good buy I think depends on your needs....if your needs are simple and a chromebook will do, I'd probably get the chromebook. Surface Pros are notoriously difficult to repair...and I think 4GB on this would make me crazy if i had multiple browser tabs open.

That said, full disclosure, I'm writing this on a Surface Pro 2 that i bought a few months ago for $270, and I kinda like it. but it's probably worth sticking it out for a 3 or later because of the revised design if you want a Pro. the 2 and original are really heavy to carry around in tablet mode to the point of being uncomfortable to use purely as a tablet.
