Thanks OP! Bought this awhile ago for $43 on Amazon but it was back ordered, been over 3 weeks and still hasn't shipped. Just cancelled that and reordered. For anyone wondering if this is a good deal, I would say definite yes.

Holds up to 15lbs for those curious. Not bad, should be able to handle most dslr / lens combos. I'd totally get it if I didn't already have two other tripods Wink

outstanding deal. Had this one for a cpl of years and dragged it all over mountains and jungles. Steal of a price...the plate is worth $10.

I have this tripod. Pretty decent especially for 30$. One good thing is that you can add a sandbag to the hook under it and give it some more stability. It's pretty shaky otherwise for any sort of planning. It's pretty lightweight

It's good for the price. I beat one up packing it into the wild and putting glass on it. I don't use it anymore because the head isn't arca Swiss compatible and I got sick of swapping plates on stuff when I wanted to use my better tripods.

I read reviews on Amazon and this seems a good bang for the bucks!
Considering it could be better than much expensive tripods.

Total noob who just started looking to replace a tripod I've had for over a decade cause the plastic leg locks are all breaking. I just looked yesterday at the 50" and 60" amazonbasics tripods which look nice. They are lighter and have great reviews. I'm sure this deal is prob all around a better one but can anyone compare them so I have a better understanding? I don't shoot a lot but would like a lightweight and low cost tripod for when I go on hikes or other stationary needs. I'm 6' so I wonder if a 50" would be a pain to have to bend over to use. Any suggestions and tips are very much appreciate. Thanks!
