Amazon has the NETGEAR CM500-1AZNAS (16x4) DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem [amazon.com] for $55.35 - $10 (clip the coupon) = $45.35 with Free Shipping. As with past deals on this device, the price is fluctuating by a few bucks occasionally.

The CM500 uses Broadcom chips and includes the Spectrum Analyzer feature. See https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Netgear_CM500

This matches the previous lowest sale price of $45. See previous deals.

This device does not support VoIP phones so if you have phone service through your ISP you'll need another device. Some ISPs allow you to keep their VoIP modem and avoid the modem rental fee if you use your own modem just for internet access. Some ISPs require you to use their modem if you have phone service.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

its funny they are taking a long time to ship and they keep dropping the price, so I canceled and reorderd at the lower price since they will not adjust. about the 3rd or 4th price drop in as many days....

grabbed one under mine and one under my wife's account as a gift, to replace some ageing 4x4 and 8x4 modems...
should tide me over until the 3.1 modems prices drop in price.

only modem I seen so far on BF deal is the modem (8x4 Chanel) / router N300 combo (combos are dreadful) at best buy for a lot more...
bestbuy also has a 15% coupon off a new modem/router for bringing in an recycling old router or modem in store only

This is a good modem certified for 300 Mbps service (16x4) by nearly all ISPs for the price of one only certified for 100-150 Mbps service (8x4). If you have 300 Mbps service, definitely buy this. Otherwise, it's probably not worth it.

If anyone is in the Los Angeles area. I found an old thread on SD for this exact model for $25 AT Walmart and called around. Two were at the Long Beach Carson st. Wal-Mart, not the town center one. I got one total price $27 (tax included). Call up and ask, the lady said they had them stored in the back hiding. I bought mine 19 days ago. One was left hidden in the cage. Might still be there.

this is crazy who are they price Waring with (its not Walmart this time)
who ever it is the $10 promo on top is making this an absurdly good deal

regardless of speed tier more channels tends to give you a tiny bit better ping for games, and if your in a
overcrowded area your service will slow down less at peak times. As long as your ISP / area* supports the extra channels.
(*It varies by area not just by provider). It also can cause you to get a little bit more speed then your paying for but that is a YMMV.

Thanks. Last time I ordered the one for 1TB speed but didn't work for Optimum. Hopefully this will work with my ISP (Optimum). I can get rid $10 per month charges from them

My modem is many years old. Still getting the max advertise speed up/down that I want from Comcast. No need to upgrade right?

Assuming this doesn't provide telephony support for those of us who get phone service from the cable company.
