the false comparison,
I own many $19 XTs, it does not have dual SIM, but screen is bigger, camera is weaker, SoC SD615

Just ignore him, cgigate isn't worth responding to. He's a well known troll on SD. With that that said, this is a great deal for $49 and I definitely plan on picking one up. Among the upsides you already mentioned, the biggest one is that this is running Android 7.1 with Huawei's EMUI 5.1. The original XT is a good phone, but Huawei really handicapped it by disabling expandable storage on EMUI 4 and not providing any updates beyond minor security ones. The XT2's 4000mAH battery is also a huge plus and the 5.5" display is going to be far more manageable for most people. The original XT is an absolutely massive phone, especially if you put a case on it.

my wife and are using phoenix 2 now, and are eyeballing these we do not need super duper phones anyways. Biggest draw for me is upgrading from 8 mp to 12mp camera, and going to 8 core has to be an improvement.

This is going to be a huge improvement over the Phoenix 2. The .5" difference in display size doesn't sound like much, but it is and the Octa-core Snapdragon 435 with 2GB RAM should be a noticeable performance boost over the 210 and 1.5GB RAM. There's also going to be a day and night difference in terms of battery life (it's nearly twice the size of the Phoenix's). As for the camera, megapixels don't impact image quality nearly as much as most people assume they do. A larger image sensor, lens aperture, optical image stabilization and well optimized camera software will have a far greater impact. The XT2's camera should be be better, but I'm going to guess only marginally so.

Lack of official specs for those low end prepaid phones.
Many third party web sites publish the specs based on guess work., always are wrong.

Can be unlocked, just watched a youtube vid on this, multiple sites offer the code. Has a SIM/SD tray on left side, just slip in the new sim and phone will request the unlock code.

So if I am using AT&T now, I can just transfer the SIM to this phone and that's all?

Yes, just put your current SIM card into this phone and it'll work.

I will definitely be getting this phone and using it on Cricket.

thanks, seems a bit more than I want to spend to get it unlocked for a phone that costs only $50.00.
