I ordered this mixer for my wife and it should be delivered to our home tomorrow (free shipping). It's on the leaked BF scan for Best Buy. Do you think it's a good deal?

This is a lower wattage version of the Kitchenaid mixer Costco currently has on sale for $249. That one is 590 watts; this one is 450 watts. For most home use, 450 is enough. I personally prefer the tilt-head design to the bowl-lift version. The tilt head is short enough to go on top of the counter and fit under the upper cabinets. I also dislike having to remove the beater to remove the bowl; the bowl-lift is also a bit fidgety to attach the bowl. You might want to insure your wife doesn't have a strong preference. The price is good, but not exceptionally good.

No offense, but the Professional 5 Plus Series is all-steel construction and all-metal gears, so your comments are completely inaccurate.

*Update - Sorry, I responded to wrong comment. Meant for OP.
I have a Pro and an Artisan. You honestly can't go wrong with any KitchenAid stand mixer IMO. Differences really just come down to preferences - bigger bowl with or w/o handle, lift vs tilt head, more or less wattage, etc.

I've included a link for a video that may or may not help you with your decision, but either way, any KitchenAid stand mixer at or above 4.5 quarts for $200 is a very good deal. Hope this helps. Smilie

i would strongly suggest to go only with costco version which is for 249$. bowl lift is better as the head is welded .plz do read articles on the web abt mixer before getting it.i have both version this one and costco one.i like performance of bowl lift.the hook of bowl lift is very very good

This is usually the standard price I see regularly at Costco for this mixer, but definitely a great price for it. Smilie

If you want bowl-lift, I agree that Costco is the way to go as you'll have this for the rest of your life. I still prefer the tilt-head design.

This one is 525W pro5 plus version. Not the 450W version. It's a good deal for me.

Don't forget the current $25 coupon which brings the price down to $225 at Costco. I just did that last week

That's not what the BBY website says, nor is what Kitchenaid says about the Pro 5 Plus. It's 450 watts.
