I have cricket. Will this work or can it be unlocked? What are straight talk's rules?

Straight Talk says you need to be on their service for 12 months before they will unlock it. Does anyone know if any of those online unlocking services will work for this phone? I am pretty sure this is locked to Straight Talk and will need to be unlocked to use on other GSM carriers, I too have Cricket, and this phone looks tempting. Huawei has got my attention with this, the AT&T Ascend XT2, and it's Cricket brother the Elate.
