Best Buy appears to be same now, at least on 5X.

Price drop seems across all retailers. REI, Walmart, Cabelas all have dropped it to $499.99.

Great watch and good price. I bought one when they first came out and love it. Wear it daily.

Great watch but these are pretty much what the watches go for. I purchased the 5 a few months ago and paid the same price.

I wonder if you can combine this $100 deal with the $50 off $300 Amex on dell.com. That would make the watch $450.

I have my fenix3 HR and I love it

Would you recommend the 5 over the 3hr?

Just a casual runner who runs ~30 miles a week on a treadmill. Historically a polar user. Currently using a v800.

Good deal, but it's probably safe to assume we will see even better prices on Black Friday/Cyber Monday, right?

The fenix 3hr is still expensive, I don't think there is anything below 300 and there are no new features or updates. Both will work for what you want, even the polar will too

I think the main advantage of the fenix 5 is the support for bluetooth devices and it runs the latest version of ConnectIQ that opened support for 3rd party running dynamics

Been waiting on a deal on the 735xt. If you dont need routable maps (questionable usefulness) or 20+ hour battery (on gps), it may meet all your needs- and in a slimmer profile at half the weight. Anyone who wears longsleeve shirts to work may find the fenix series a bit unwieldy.

I am a proud owner of 735 XT and don't want Garmin watch business go in sunset, that's my concern.

When Apple watches perform fitness functions as well as the garmins, then we'll talk.
