A similar deal was posted around this time last year for $20 more and through the same merchant within Newegg's site. Reviews at the time for this model were mixed (partly from the D3 and D5 coming out, partly because of how "dumb" it can be about dealing with obstacles), but it's still a decent discount for those looking at this model.

So not Newegg? Just third party seller via marketplace?

I've had this model for over a year, it works great! This is $697 on Amazon.

I had the original neato and when it worked, it was awesome. Sadly, it broke constantly. I literally went through four of them in a year, despite what I would consider gentle use given it only really saw hardwood floors. Neato straight up ignored me after the fourth replacement despite it breaking a fifth time under warranty. The tech is just too fragile imo. Damn laser in it never lasted more than two months for me.

True, but you then have to weigh that against an overall four star rating on Amazon with 1,049 reviews. It may likely be people just don't buy this model through Newegg. It's certainly not the first place I'd look for an appliance like this.

How long ago was that? This is the first time I've really looked into robotic vacuums, so I'm genuinely interested in finding one that will last us (and our filthy, hairy pets) for quite some time.

Certainly looks that way. The $499 price from last year was through the same seller as well.

Aim to Find is legit and is an authorized seller. I would pass on this deal. At this price point wait for the D7 to hit the market.

This is last generation tech at this point

OP thanks for the post, and keep posting Neato Deals

Got this via a slickdeal on walmart.com for $350 about 3 weeks ago. Working great so far with a few small initial hiccups that had more to do with my house than the Botvac. It vacuums my whole house (tiny, granted) on a single charge. We're happy with it, overall. Anyway, prices are dropping for the Botvac Connected because the new model, the D7, is coming out soon with an MSRP of $799. I wouldn't be surprised if more deals like walmart's pop up.

Was this for a new or used item? The comments on that deal suggested that it was a used item.

I was a little worried about that after reading the comments, but it appeared that the issue was with a Walmart Marketplace seller. These were sold by Walmart, and yes, brand new and unopened upon arrival Smilie

I like Neato when it works. I only owned one so far. Died on me. Claimed full refund via credit card's extended warranty and also it is still covered by SquareTrade insurance. I tried to repair it once and it got broken the moment I received it back. Thats why I would suggest buying from a good store, with a nice credit card (Amex, Discover) and be ready that it might break in 2 years. Otherwise, I like how well it cleans.
