Depends on your needs and what the phone offers
I have very general needs for a phone. Both phones are probably good enough. But which is a better deal? Is the V20 at $200 worth the premium over the G6? I am leaning towards waiting the G6 BB deal.

Why wouldn't sprint let you use this phone on a regular plan? I really hate sprint.

I see no blackfriday deal on the G6. Are you referring to G5?

Has anyone ever unlocked one of these before? Would it work on AT&T?

Who are you a customer of now? The BB offer is gonna require a credit check and maybe a partial first month bill and activation fee so the prices are probably similar. But the g6 is a good phone and that's a good price. I would say go for that personally or maybe the Moto G...while not as premium I think it might be a faster phone. Albeit I haven't had one but I did have the g6 for about 4 months and it did stutter and take a bit opening things like the camera.

But G6 deal is a great one if you don't mind the credit check.

This is by far the cheapest price I've seen this phone, but since the v30 came out the price of the v20 has been dropping drastically. We may see under 175-200 before black friday. I would buy this phone right now, but I just don't like Sprint at all

imo lgv20 is in a totally different class than the G6, its like the started over from scratch and fixed all the problems with the G6. I would definitely go with the v20.
Do you mean the v30 did that? The v20 is last year's and IDT it fixed any of g6 issues personally. The v30 otoh is a pretty good comparison to the g6.

It has the bands for At&t, but getting it unlocked will be very difficult.

Ahh, thanks. Tempting to just get it for "iPod" use at this price. With the Quad DAC it would be worth it. Still holding out for H910a at $250 I guess

I am using FreedomPop (GSM/LTE) now, not a Sprint customer. Good point about the G6 having to jump through more hoops. I also need to figure out if both these phones are unlockable and how.

The g6 would likely be easier to unlock and use for FP I think. I am tempted to take advantage of that but last time I did that for the Verizon iPhone SE i had issues with billing. For some reason Verizon kept saying I owed negative $120 and after a few months they sent me to collections over $48 they never said I owed. So I'm hesitant but that price is really good.
