Works decent on hardwood, doesn't on carpeted areas. Needs a rotating brush.

I ordered but I'm canceling the order. Many reviews cite inability to find its way back home to the charger, getting stuck very easily and bumping into things too hard instead of relying on sensors for collision avoidance. Would have been a good deal.

I picked this up on the last deal. Can confirm it does not find its way back home. It seems like it drives around aimlessly until it makes IR contact with the base. That said it does a pretty decent job on the hardwood floors. If having to pick it up and put it near its base to home it saves me some cash, still a deal.

The amount of sensors and telemetry these things need to work properly rules out most sub-$200 units.

Sure, they'll work... somewhat, some of the time - but not even half as well as a $300 unit like the Xiaomi

Poor cleaning power, lack of sensors, not finding the base station and needing to be babysat just to operate on a day to day basis.

There are many variables that go into the efficacy of a robot vacuum. I'd argue the algorithms and sensors are the most important. Many vacuums possess the same specs on paper - but in practice some will take 2-3 times as long to clean the same area just because if how inefficient their data collectiob and processing is.

We have the n79. Great on hard floors. Have two dogs (one is a husky) and really keeps the hair at bay. Had an issue with it (wife sprayed it down in the sink when it ran through some dog's present) and got water damage. Contacted warranty and in less than a week had a new one sent out and sent the old one back.

Can't beat em, I'd recommend the square trade warranty to be safe. Or purchase with an Amex for extra manufacturer warranty.

Decent robo sweeper. Mine finds home about half the time. Does get stuck on barriers. Keeps floor clean. Not perfect. Worth the price as starter robo. After two months, love it, even with a few warts. This is the best price so far.

How is this one compare to iRobot? This vacuum cleaner price is very attractive.

Too bad the promo code doesn't apply to the n79.

You get what you pay for, but this one does a decent enough job for tile or hardwood. I've had mine a few months and it does a good job of picking up a lot of dust and random hair. I still do a quick sanitizing swifter run on the hardwood every couple of week, but this does its job for a nice daily dust sweep.

I bought one in the last deal too. It's been great so far. It does find it's way home but I believe it's because it's because of a few things. Our home is 1800 sqft so we chose a pretty central location for the base, otherwise it would be going into every closet trying to find the base and die before it gets close. I think the other factor is the prep we do. It runs during the day so I pick up the shaggy rugs and my cell charger before heading out in the morning so it doesn't spend all day struggling then getting stuck in another room. Hope that helps all who are worried about it getting lost.
