50,000 AAdvantage Miles Holiday Bonus

+43 Deal Score

Hello all,

Saw the Frequent Miler post a pretty cool bonus mile opportunity with American Airlines. Basically you can earn up to 50,000 bonus miles for transacting with up to 10 partners. There are minimums and such which he goes through.

Anyways this seems like a pretty good way to rack up some miles for things you might already be doing this holiday season.

Actually they have special offers from each partner - the bonus miles are in addition to all the miles you get from the partners.

$500

30k is cheapest o/w ticket to S. America.... and r/t ticket to s.am would be 1k+... so $500.

o/w one way
r/t round trip

points are used for each way, so you can book a r/t for 60k or o/w for 30k.

The Points Guy values AA miles at 1.4 cents per mile which means this would be worth around $700

50 cents is closer. Redemptions are next to impossible on the AAHOL airline.

I used 80K AA miles to book a one way First class LAX - TOKYO on Japan Airline (cash payment would be $11600) so each mile worth 6.89 cent to me Smilie

Darnit, I just did a 3-night booking with Rocketmiles on Tuesday to supposedly earn 8000 miles. Think it'll count towards this promotion if I register today?

I did it once. I was disappointed by the quality of the AA seats. I was was expecting Emirates quality. Return on a Cathay plane was amazing though.

I guess if you're up for the 1st class experience. Assuming it's a weekday flight at 1.2cpp that's still $960...
