$40 Prescription Glasses with lens

+5 Deal Score

Jins [jins.com] is doing a sale for $40 prescription glasses, this includes lens and anti-glare coating.

If you're willing to spend more, I recommend their airframes [jins.com]. The quality is better than a $300 pair of glasses you get from the optometrist.

Since their style varies, I recommend you visit a store to try them on. But they are limited.

As far as I am aware, Jins is a Japanese glasses company and my wife swears by them to the point of grabbing a pair every time we are over there. I did not realize they had a US site and may roll the dice on this to see if the quality matches up. Thank you!

They actually have a physical store in San Francisco. I visited last year and that's when I first found out about Jin. Pretty neat how they "make" the glasses in store within an hour or so.

My SO had a pair made and they were perfectly fine, but she ended up returning them since she did not like the frame she chose. I would say they are comparable to Warby Parker or any of those order-to-home eyewear companies. They also have a fairly good return policy if you end up not liking them.

Wth. It said 3 days 20 mins left on the sale yet the discount is removed after clock struck midnight just now.

I was checking out and uploading my prescription when the discount is removed.

Interesting explanation of the evil "blue light" emitted by LED/LCD screens.

If Jin's $60 upcharge for blue blocking offends, try Firmoo.

I really like the quality of my Jins glasses. First time ordering a pair of glasses online that didn't feel lower quality than buying in a store
