I've never seen this before. Is this like a waterpik but uses air? One of the pictures look like someone is adding a liquid in.

I have it. Mixed feelings. Personally think a waterpik is a better value.

Any other reviews on this type of item?

Can these do a better job that a manual flosser?

Use a "reach" brand long handled flosser, and it "feels" like a highly proficient tool for the job.

But if there is a easier way that does a better job, why not try.

I have been using this for a few years. You add water into the little reservoir and press the button to fire spray the liquid. Unlike a Watepik which continuously spray it water, the airfloss fires the water in a single burst with each press of the button. I like it because it's wireless and easy to use. But it is NO substitute for flossing. The negative point for this is the battery will die in about 2 years.

It's not a substitute for flossing. I use it after flossing to feel extra clean.

To be honest, an electronic toothbrush is the most important tool in your oral care regiment. Then flossing with dental tape. This air floss is just icing on the cake.

I absolutely love my air flosser. Been using it for about 7 months. My gums have never been healthier. I fill mine with hydrogen peroxide instead of water for that continuous clean below the gum line. (Other reviews suggest this as hard water and sticky mouthwash can gum up the pumping mechanism). This is a great addition to your dental regimen if you are a regular flosser as it gets things traditional flossing can miss (popcorn, poppy seeds) and also good for nonregular flossers as it is definitely better than brushing alone.

I agree. Don't put mouth wash in it because that can definitely screw up the pumping mechanism and renders the air floss useless. I use mine with either water or a mixture of one teaspoon of baking soda 1/2 cup of warm water.I just wish the battery doesn't die around the 2 years mark.
