How to make Firefox always open PDF files?

3,245 302 November 11, 2017 at 07:23 AM
i have to access multiple PDF file downloads daily. When I get the PDF a message pops up if I want to open or save it, and a check box that says do this automatically with this file type. I have that box checked, and click open. Yet every time it prompts me if I want to open or save. Other people use this computer, and when they click save it automatically save the PDFs from then on. It is becoming a nuisance because I have to go through Firefox settings and change the prompt back to ask. I even changed the option to use Adobe Acrobat to view the file, and it still prompts me what I want to do. Its so annoying! How do I make it open automatically?

I think this is a problem with how the web server you're getting the file from is handling mime types.

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?
