Saw this, too. Not "Slick" IMHO as I'm guessing we may see this priced lower. Nonetheless, I don't see it any cheaper than this anywhere so worth a thumbs up.

Been trying to decide between this and the TCL 55P607. I do use an OTA antenna, though so had been leaning toward the TCL, but haven't seen any slick deals on that either.

This is an actual 4k tv with all features such as wide color gamut, and local dimming. Not as good as the tcl p605 but still a great price. $300 is absurd to expect.

I too am trying to pick between the tcl55 p607 and the Vizio M-55
Prices right now are close enough not to matter much.
As hot as the tcl is, I doubt a huge Black Friday reduction . Vizio May come down more?
No Tuner is not a big deal. You can get one pretty cheap.
I like the tcl has the Roku built in and their smart features seem to get better reviews.
Comparing the 605 to the m at Best Buy, the Vizio seemed more stylish.
The picture was much better too but they had different feeds so I'm not sure how accurate the comparison was.
I was thinking about going to a 65" but this is for the bedroom and wife thinks it would be too big.
Viewing is straight on from the head of the bed to the wall mount. Bedroom is 16'x16'.
I also thought about stepping up brands, but it seems the samsung (which I usually go with and this tv will be replacing an older series 7 52" with the wide bezel) have stepped down in pq and the Sony is double the price.
So unless there is a Black Friday super sale, I think these two are my choices.
My use would be in the bedroom for tv and movies mostly. Very little sports and no gaming.
So directv, Netflix and amazon prime hd input with little 4K viewing.
seems rtings scores tcl higher for this sort of content.

Any suggestions?

TCL all the way. I was waiting a few months for the 50 inch version of the TCL until they abruptly canceled it. I ended up getting this Vizio. Its a warm deal at $500. It's been as low as $550 before.

Then again, for no BF hassle, its worth something.

If you read CNET's latest review on the M series they gave it an editor's choice:
https://www.cnet.com/products/viz.../review/2/

I do find it weird that the Vizio has really dim brightness for non HDR material but is great for HDR sources.
Since the majority of what you will watch (I'm assuming) will still be FHD (and not UHD) I think that is something to consider for your decision

I personally picked up the TCL to replace my Samsung plasma (F5100) and have been fairly impressed. That would be my vote
