Nice. Anyone have insight on how these sounds compared to the 650's or ath-50x, Sony 1000 series?

TL;DR: not quite as good NC as Bose, but some of the best sound quality you'll find in headphones with NC.

TU great price for those in the market for these.

So these are the same as Momentum 2?

"It is the same as Momentum 2.0 Wireless, it just a name change. They can not use the name Momentum.. "

"Some guy in the US own the right to the name Mometum, so in the US (and also Turkey) it will be named to HD-1."

If you're looking for ANC this isn't the right place, but if you're looking for decent ANC with amazing soundquality and comfort these are for you. They're the best sounding by far compared to the 550s, the QC35s, and the M1000x or any other pair near this price point.

I bought the Sony 1000XM2 to use at work in an open office floor plan and just bought these to compare them since the price was right. I only fly a couple times a year so I don't need extreme noise cancelling very often. I have a feeling I will end up selling the Sony.

This review says the Momentum 2 (same as HD1) are only a minor improvement in sound quality over QC35:

But I find that hard to believe since the Sony MX1000 sound better than the QC35 and these should sound better than the MX1000.

Bought HD1 to try - reviews are singing praise for them. I own Bose QC35 (I) and they are really comfortable and NC is the best. Recently bought PXC 550 and really liked the sound, and autopause and turn on/off feature, but they are little less comfy the QC35 if wearing them all day long. So I could decide which one to keep and kept them to try. Now I'll compare all three Smilie

Ehh idk I've tried the momentum 2 (someone said these are basically the same) and it's good...but compared to the bose qc35, I'd take the bose any day...

However, my opinion may be colored by the fact that the bose is so damn good at noise cancelling that it made me hear just the music and felt immersive with everything else blocked out. I think honestly, that alone, boosts the "sound" quality of the bose when in reality it may actually be a bit inferior.
