This is a fine entry level receiver, and should do video as well as any other receiver with the same specs. The wattage rating is (like from most manufacturers) FALSE. 100 watts tops in 2 channel mode, and maybe half that for all 5 channels at 8 Ohm. Doesn't matter because most people don't need that much. 50 watts is plenty. No networking, or HEOS. Both are great to have, but if you don't need it... Binding posts would also be nice, but most people hook up the speakers, and don't touch it for years. So it's not really an issue. If you need a receiver now for under $200, and you don't need the things missing from the receiver, this deal looks decent. They are on sale for $230 at a few places, and this is currently the cheapest price.

Decent receiver, not my favorite for movies, better for music imo. indeed a very good price however.

I'm saving up for the x3300w if it ever goes on sale again

A good entry level 4K 5.2 receiver. 140W per channel; no Wi-Fi, Dolby Vision, Audyssey or HEOS; HDCP 2.2 on three of the five HDMI inputs. Good for the price, but I'm waiting for the next step up to get below $280.

What do you mean "not my favorite for movies"? Do cheaper AVRs degrade the video somehow?

not video. i was referring to audio. voice sounds a little muddy imo compared to other receivers.

Subject is wrong. $127, not $177. But even at $177 this is good. $127 is phenomenal price for this. It was The Wirecutters best 5 Channel receiver last year. I had been waiting for this one for my bedroom. Accessories4less is refurbished.

Looks like the price dropped to 229. Code still working today. Nice!
