Not bad for the price IMO. 8 GB RAM is pretty good for a $300 laptop, and the i3 with HT is much better at multitasking than a Celeron or other cheap processor. It also has a CD/DVD burner that some folks can use.

I seriously doubt this laptop was $260. Maybe with less RAM and a few other downgrades.

Good budget laptop. I've had one for a while, but will never buy another like this. I will buy a replacement soon because the right shift key is that bad. So I'd recommend you try before you buy. I thought to myself, how bad can it be? It's bad.

Got one of these. Let me be very blunt, this is CHEAP. Like, difference in inexpensive and cheap. This body has cracked from just picking it up (I am very gentle.) I've had a few ~$300 computers but this is garbage and Lenovo's support is just as bad.

$300 for a system with an i3 and not a Celeron and 8gb ram instead of 4 like most budget systems seem to have?

I see deals like this occasionally and marvel at how good they seem until I realize the screen is under 1080p, and it makes sense. Not a great deal, but will probably be fine for someone who needs a really cheap system and/or hasn't been ruined by 1080p and higher.

If this would have a 512gb SSD and a 8gb video card with an 8 core processor maybe I'd pull the trigger.

Edit: and a 4K display
Oh come on. If all you have to add is "cheap system is cheap let me talk about another system that would probably cost 3x as much" why bother at all posting?

there have been several with similar specs as you mentioned on the FP in the past month, they are usually around $600
