These are a great price yes, however, last year I bought these and they were terrible.. I had them explode not only in my electronics and kid's toys, but also just in the cabinet. I keep my house very moderate temperature, and these things were really really awful.. Buyer Beware.. I'm staying far far away from rayovac batteries.

p.s. "Not EXPLODE like fire, but explode as in POP (with a loud noise) and spread the greenish goo over the insides of the electronics"

I have experienced only one incident of battery leakage with Rayovac. I've had enough incidents with Duracell to avoid buying them intentionally, but end up using them because they are usually the supplied brand with new products. I also avoid Energizer, haven't had as many incidents as Duracell, though. It seems that many of these failures result from allowing a device to run the batteries down, and leaving the dead cells inside for an extended period.
