Agreed. Not knocking the deal at all. I just didnt want you to get undeserved TDs because of something like points.

I bought a smaller set of these same bits a couple years ago. They are absolute garbage, a big step below even the cheaper sets that are out there. I'd stay away.

I'm generally a fan of Sears, but their router bits are an exception unfortunately. These are not good quality bits, you can get a better set of better bits for less money regular price at MLCS and others.

Sorry, not a good or "popular" deal.

Regular prices are not "deals" and I already listed one source, so nothing to "share".

I wish you came up with actual deal links than just being critical of otherwise "popular" deal..

Show me what you got ... I'm genuinely interested in better router bits in this price range

I wish you would find actual deals and stop claiming universally unpopular deals are "popular". Hint: thumbs down does NOT indicate a "popular" deal.

Already did, if you can't follow the source and link, or were not already aware of the source, not sure we can help you much. If you are not familiar with mlcs, you must not be a router or tool user.

I'm well aware of mlcs but I like you to come down from your high horse and give the DEAL LINKS.

Don't be vague about deals, the source etc. if you got an exact link, POST IT. Until then, contribute to the site more constructively

I dunno bro, if you took the time you spent to rant about not being provided specific links to items that aren't on sale or at all slick, and used that time to find it your damn self, I wouldn't be mocking you.

It's a garbage tool you're advertising. I can sell you a half ton rotten apples for 30% off, but that doesn't make it a good deal.
I realize that some people won't use these tools, and they'll sit in the garage for decades before invariably disappointing their owners, so maybe saving money on something you'll likely never use is a good idea...
But that's essentially just wasting money anyway, so not slick.

This [mlcswoodworking.com] is the place referred to. If you are looking for the lowest prices on router bits worth owning, this is your place. They don't run a lot of specials, their bits aren't the best, and the bits are foreign made, but they will do a good job.

If you do any kind of a search on this forum, much less one that specializes in woodworking, you will see a LOT of threadcrapping on Craftsman router bits.

I'll add my name to the LONG list of people who felt really cool thinking they got a good deal on these Chinese-made Craftsman router bits, only to realize that they are awful.

There are a lot of reasons not to skimp on router bits. Safety is often brought up, but I've never had even a cheap bit come apart at 30,000 RPM. I've heard of it happening, but Sears is a big company and wouldn't sell stuff that lousy unless they were about to go out of business.

Oh, wait, they kin of are.

The bigger issue is that these low grade buts, and many others like them, tear up and burn the wood when they cut. So you end up having to sand every inch of profile you route. That's a big problem. Cheap bits are false economy unless your time is exceptionally cheap. They get dull pretty fast and stop cutting all together.

If you will be working with MDF a lot, get this set. Otherwise, run away! Spend your money on tools that work, even if they aren't on sale. Brands like Freud, Diablo (aka Freud), Whiteside, CMC, Rockler, etc. really are worth the premium.
