Asus - Better keyboard, backlit keyboard, better battery life, more storage, 16:9 widescreen display

Samsung - lower weight, currently the thinnest Chromebook (makes a noticeable difference in tablet mode), beautiful QHD 3:2 display that's also far better for tablet mode, built in active pen

Both excellent Chromebooks. Really just comes down to what your priorities/preferences are. I have the Pro because I far prefer 3:2 displays, I wanted the active pen and it's one of best (possibly the best) 2-in-1 device designs I've ever experienced. That said, I can completely understand why some people would go for the ASUS C302 instead.

I got the Samsung Pro and the word is it's on sale on Black Friday. I would wait for that. It's all about that screen.

A lot of laptop users are used to 16:9 displays. Some may be thrown off by the 3:2 on the Pro. More than anything else I think it boils down to how important the tablet mode experience is for you.

I've used the plus and own the c302. If the pro had a back lit keyboard, I would have gone with that over the c302 because of the screen.

Not really worse, just different. Quality wise, I didn't notice a difference.

Biggest difference for me was that Office android apps won't run on

Biggest difference for me is that MS Office android apps like excel will work on the Asus, but not on the Samsungs.

Serious question, what is the big draw to a chromebook? It seems like if you need something light, you could use an android tablet with a keyboard. To me, $400 is pretty expensive for something with fairly limited uses, and you're starting to get near older ultrabook range.

What is the Black Friday price? Better than the $450 it is advertised to be starting on 11/19 on Samsung.com?
