From what I hear is very clean and simple - they don't take returns😎

I have this exact model, got it during a recent Frys promo for the same price. Love the looks and the functionality... when it works. Especially at night when the night vision mode kicks on (which I don't think you can turn off) the device becomes unresponsive and doesn't connect. During the daytime, 20% of the time the doorbell won't ring.

Support has been very friendly but no luck fixing it yet.

It's been like this for months. As a owner of 2 of these I don't recommend them.

Thanks. I want to try this out at a rental I have. How good is Fry's return policy?

Incorrect, Fry's does take returns. It is the usual 30 day policy with item in good resale-able condition. Sure it is not as flexibile as costco or nordstrom, but I think it is reasonable.

I also been using one more almost 2 years. Most of the time, it works just fine, day or night mode. When their server is congested, motion detection can fail to notify you. My IME, it hasn't happen often enough to bother me. The annual $30 fee for cloud storage, while not expansive, I don't like it. I wish there is way I can storage the footage on my NAS instead for paying.

As for door bell integration, if you have a mechanical door chimp, it gets messy. You need to install the so called "booster". For some reason, my previous mechanical chimp bell (new), doesn't work well at all. Instead of making the "ding dong", it just "ding". And repeated push doesn't ring the chimp anymore. It seems take some time to recharge the booster. If you have a electronics chimp, I think it would work better.

I haven't tried other brand out there. Within Ring, I think the Pro is superior to the normal model in terms of camera FOV and exterior appearance.

Love my ring pro. Haven't had any problems with failure to ring or pick up motion that I am aware of. Our door only has a window at the very top so you can't see who is at your door without opening even if you look out the front window. This is well worth it.

Not sure why other people are having issues, but I have a pro model also and haven't had any issues. Just make sure your transformer voltage is correct and your WiFi is decent and you should be good to go. Mine is set up to a mechanical chime and works like a charm. My WiFi is approximately 100Mb down/13Mb up and haven't had any connectivity issues at all. If you have iffy wireless coverage in/around your house to begin with then I suggest you get a repeater first. On their website, they have a list of compatible and incompatible doorbell brands so look on there first to determine whether or not you need to buy a chime add-on.
