The newer one "PowerIQ 2.0: Our brand-new exclusive technology. Intelligently identifies your device to deliver the fastest possible charge."

Also the new one has a circle to show it's charge power instead of a line

I own this. Do not underestimate the size or weight of this. It is portable, but not something you want to carry in your pocket or even purse. More than likely a backpack or laptop bag.

I have found that the capacity is not quite as high as advertised but still pretty good. I would recommend this product.

I have this one already. Great charger. Charges everything fast. I'm only using USB-C devices now and it works just fine with a USB-A to USB-C cable. Have used it on my Pixel and Nintendo Switch which charges them both fast and can keep up with the Switch while playing a game. I even use it on my 13" MacBook Pro (60w). It can hold the current charge on my laptop or it drains very slowly even when working on it (doing more than web browsing/ Photoshop/Lightroom). I could easily charge my phone for an entire week on this alone.

The only reason I would consider upgrading from this is if I needed a smaller size, to buy a USB-C exclusive charger, and/or to charge instead of just maintain a charge on my USB-C laptop while I'm working.

TL;DR - Just buy it already.

Worth it for $20 more?

When using this charger, is it true that you have to put Nintendo switch to sleep mode first, in order to get it charged? Thanks

I use this for my Switch and it charges when you play a game. You don't have to put it in sleep mode.
