That leaked sapphire 64 card looks sweet wonder if it'll be released before next year.

nope, it shipped from indiana

got to me in two days (thank god my roommate works nights... didn't like the idea of the box sitting on my doorstep in a college town...)

also... not sure what the complaints are about noise... havn't bothered tweaking the card as anything I've thrown at it for 1080p is ultra running 100+ (and with doom caps at 200... apparently doom has a ceiling of 200 for some reason... gonna look at that when I have time)

and when its going full blast its noticeable.. but with my surround sound or headphones on when gaming I can't hear it (btw hellblade in surround sound.... amazing and only started the game and am enjoying the story)

if your not running a game you can barely hear it... it runs really quiet at idle

just curious, did you buy this card for 1080P? isn't it design to run 2560x1440 at 60 fps...and maybe even some light 4k?

Weren't these VGA cards over $600 a few months back? If so, this seems to be a good deal, no?

Comes down to taste. 4k @ 40-60, 1440p @ 60-80, or 1080p @ 100+. Haven't tried a 144hz monitor, but those that have swear they would never go back.

nah, i was still using a 280x

I wanted a better performing card, but I was stuck at a decision.... I need a better card to take advantage of a 4k screen

If i got a 4k screen... I wouldn't be able take advantage of it without having the card due to the industry's crazy drm choice for it preventing me from getting a 4k blu-ray player for my pc... so the only real choice for me to consume 4k blu-ray discs would be getting an xbox one s which due to halo 5 not having at least 2 player split screen coop.. makes it unappealing to me as well as annoying that I have to buy another thing just to enjoy my new tv.....

so my decision was to just get the card now due to waiting anyways due to the crazy prices of cards lately and (like you should do with any new pc hardware) test the shit out of it to make sure there are no random issues with it so you can do a quick rma if need be... I will say that the super high fps even on a 60 hz tv looks really smooth

also.. it does 2k at 80-100+fps, 4k it does about well 30-60 depending on settings unless its a car racing sim then it does 80ish i believe

Depends how you look at it, MSRP is $499. $600 is the blown up price from mining. I like AMD as a cheaper alternative but the vega is on the bit expensive side for the performance/energy use. At this price point I'd rather spend a bit more and get the 1080 or 1070ti.

i haven't tried it yet either...i love the details of the 4k at 60FPS on forza horizon 3 on the 1080TI that i can never go back.
