That's a pretty good deal, now to decide if I should go with this or just do the TCL p605 from BB for $599...

Can I use a family members Sam's Club account if they live in another state? Good warranty options and return policy at Sam's Club? My fear is that I could buy it under their account (e.g. online) but not return it without them present.

I just bought the 55" TCL p605 from Best buy ($599 regular price). Super impressed by it. But I was between that and the Vizio.... May have jumped on this deal, but oh well. I like the TCL a lot so far.

The Bad Not as bright as some competitors. No built-in tuner, so you can't watch over-the-air antenna broadcasts unless you attach a separate tuner. Mediocre external design and poor smart TV onscreen menus. Only one HDMI input is compatible with every 4K HDR source.

TCL is definitely better

BestBuy will pm Sam's Club if you have one in your area. I actually bought the m55-e0 at BB last Friday and they price matched Sam's (it was $20 less than BB at that time). I'll have Chase price protect to get another $90 off with this deal.

I was debating between the same two models based on Rtings.com reviews. For me it came down to the fact that nobody had a TCL on display and I just trust the Vizio brand a bit more. TCL used to sell TVs under the RCA brand in the US and those never had great reliability. I couldn't find enough info on reliability of the P series. I also like that Vizio is a US company. I know that doesn't count for a lot these days, but I'm a bit old fashioned that way.

So far the Vizio has been great. Only complaint was that it doesn't support DLNA so the HDHomeRun I bought as a tuner is not supported without the help of Plex.

If you want live TV, it can add up to get support on the Vizio. I paid $80 for the HDHomeRun and will buy a lifetime Plex Pass for $120. I can justify this because it will also let me DVR and wanted this setup anyway.

Feel free to hit me up with questions on the M Series. I'll do my best to get answers.

Thanks, my only concern on this TV is sports due to the 60hz refresh rate. Is getting into the Samsung mu8000/Sony x900e range worth the price difference for sports?

As I mentioned earlier, Best Buy will pricematch Sam's Club. Target will too, but I believe the M55-E0 is online only from Target.
