To get the free game select from titles found by scrolling down once you follow the link in the OP's post to the Redbox site and see the free game banner.

(Games not on that list do not get zero'd out) - Make sure you aren't spending Playpass credits on anything accidentally it should zero out without any codes or credits.

For those new...

DAY 1 is what ever time you Reserve/Rent between 12:00:01AM (12AM) and 11:59:59 PM (Midnight)
DAY 2 - Your rental is ALWAYS ALWAYS due back by 8:59:59PM (9:00PM your local time) on DAY 2.

If you rent just after 12:00AM you can have nearly 45 hours to play the game or watch a movie. If you rent at 11:00PM at night for another extreme example you would have just 22 hours before your game or movie is due back.

Lovely little piece that they have added to this promotion in the terms:
"...Valid email req'd. Subject to cancellation or charge" - Screenshots as always a good thing to take.

Nevermind, it's working now if I select from the games below the headline about the free game.
I can't get it to work by selecting a game and just adding it into the cart though....

Apparently, you have to select from those games listed below it.
I tried Assassin's Creed Origins and a couple other older Xbox 360 games but none of them would take the $3.17 off to Zero it out.

I tried a couple and it's working. Perhaps only on titles on the promotion page. I tried Tomb Raider and Lego Worlds. Zero at checkout.

Yup, I just edited above and got your reply. That is it, titles I have tried so far that were not from the promotions page didn't zero out.

What was this last time two days or one day?
Any word on that for this one?

Only the first night of the rental is free.

Not sure how long the promotion last.

Right I meant the duration of the promotion. I thought the last one was two days but after I dug up the thread it was nearly a week.

Hope this one is that way, but I'll assume it's just one day and use it accordingly each additional day if it is not.

Last time my account and a few others reported a similar situation when we tried to pick up and return right away. Our accounts gave an error, and wouldn't let us rent for a period of time. I think mine lasted more than day. Just a note of caution in case anyone is thinking about doing that.

Thanks, great deal for a free night of gaming. Unfortunately none of the games I wanted are less than 10 minutes out of my way, so not worth it for me.

That's why Redbox does this because most people will keep a game for more nights.

Ww2 isn't bad but it isn't great. There's a lot of lag that will annoy you from I'm guessing the game trying to slow down higher speed people for the dial up speed users.

It's definitely the better of the cod games sledgehammer had made but that's not saying much. Since I was given it for free, I'll play it a month then go back to modern warfare 2.
