If your Obi 100 and 110 doesn't work anymore or you have another ATA you can configure, you don't have to buy the 200. Just pay $6 for Simonics SIP to GV gateway which will work for your obi, plus you get caller ID!

https://simonics.com/gw/

Simonics fix step by step instructions:
http://www.obitalk.com/forum/inde...9#msg84459

my OBI 110 stopped work last week, after changing DNS server1 to: 8.26. 56.26, server2 to :8.20.247.20 it works fine since. hope it last

Seems like a very different situation to me.

This was a change made by Google, and Obi is just saying they no longer release new firmware. They've never said they would support the device indefinitely if Google changes things and have given people plenty of notice the devices are no longer supported. The devices can also still be used with any standard VOIP service, so they aren't bricking anything.

this is a shameful move by obi similar to logitech bricking one of their remotes. i can understand not supporting it anymore but intentionally breaking it to force an upgrade should be illegal.

911 service is not required but you can use gv911.com or 911 service from Obihai.

Thank you! This is slickdeal & no sales tax makes it even slicker.

Bought 110 many years ago but haven't used it, still in box and all, now it's a paperweight seems like (unless pay monthly for the gateway subscription i.e. simon or something). Any chance 110 can be repurposed for general compute/phone tasks?

This is not the OBI Black Friday Sale

Did you change the DNS setting on your OBI, for some that is working fix for the 110

Perfect timing. I was looking for a deal on the 200 since they retired my 110 last week.
