Always check priceline for months before committing to a cruise. These prices are inflated to cover their marketing of "free" stuff. While they say up to $1k, youll find out its $50 Oceanview: $60 Balcony: $100 Mini-Suite. Unless your spending $17k for their top suite your not getting anything back. I just did a search of Alaska cruises leaving same date and NCL was $600 higher than Holland. $700 higher than Celebrity.. And ATM, they all are promoting the same exact up to $1k, up to 5 choices, etc. So unless you have sailed few times and don't have a specific line you like. This sale is just another gimmick, thumbs down!!

Well that's your opinion. We just booked 10 days in the Southern Caribbean with free unlimited drinks and $150 on ship credit for $649 pp. This is during the peak season over christmas break. Enjoy the winter!

If you are looking to go on a Caribbean cruise, I would suggest going out of San Juan, Puerto Rico. We have seen so many islands and cultures because you are already in the Caribbean. We had five ports on our seven-day cruise last year. It was wonderful but the heavy port cruises are exhausting and the boat is a lot of fun (we go on RC)! The cruises are a lot cheaper out of San Juan but airfare is not cheap. I would recommend Aruba and Curacao as great ports. The worst port for us was St. Lucia.
There were so many locals bombarding you to use their cabs that you feel overwhelmed. I tried to be nice to everyone, but by the end of the day, I just wanted back on the ship. We have met some awesome people on these islands but they are very poor, so when you get off the boat you are their only source of income. You can't blame them for just trying to survive. We went in August and had no problems with hurricanes. This is a cheaper time of year (as late in August as you can go if your kids are in school, if they are homeschooled there are much better deals to be had outside of summer). I have to say, cruising is an addiction. I love that the kids are "starving" all the time because I can just take them to get food anytime they please. AND... I am not cooking and cleaning every ten minutes. My 10 year old gained six pounds on our cruise last summer. lol He was super skinny and so excited to gain so much weight. Me... not so much. Still trying to lose the five I gained, but we ate like crazy people, so I have to pay for it.

Sadly, several of the islands we visited were devastated by the hurricanes this summer.

I would also check out cruise dot com. (not cruises dot com) They usually have good prices and the first two passengers get their gratuities prepaid. That is a couple hundred dollars on a seven day. Make sure you call because we got a killer deal last year because we called and they were able to get us about 1k off for an extended family trip for 8. (two rooms)

I think this is a pretty nice deal. Usually, they let you pick one for the lower category rooms, so if you can really get all of them for an oceanview/balcony, that's pretty nice.

Of course, I would check prices around cause some people might not want the free drinks and dinners, etc, but we would always use the crap outta that, so.....

we've been on 3-4 of the newer NCL boats and the kids always enjoy them. Lots to do.

just fyi, you can do take all 5, but they charge 18% tips on the original price of the perks.

For example, if you take Ultimate Beverage Package, it's $89 * 18% x 2 (assuming 2 in a room) per day.

I don't drink, so the cheapest way to travel on NCL is to do Guaranteed rate Interior room, and bid to get into a balcony.

I usually buy 3 days specialty dining options and do excursion through third party.

Just sailed last week on the escape boat with my wife and kid. It was ok. Everyone has the drink package and it can take forever getting a drink sometimes. And very few wait staff.
