I have this, it is just average, not worth spending a premium for the Dyson name

I have this vacuum for 3 years, awesome vacuum IMHO. I have no brand allegiance but it has been working well without any issue or loss of power in 3 years so I'm happy.

Both of these refurbished listings include the same base vacuum in different colors. The difference (when buying new), the animal has an additional mini turbine head attachment. The animal listing does not mention this tool, so I would not count on them including it but YMMV.

We bought a Hoover which works as well as the Dyson but was about $75 less. Unless ur going to spend big $, the vacuums in this price range are all about the same performance wise

Are you sure about that? Dyson invented and patented the cyclonic suction system which retains it's performance for a very long time. Mine has been going strong for a decade now and the suction just won't quick. Not sure if your Hoover will last you that long.

My last 2 Dysons did not make it 5 years of moderate use, wee have mostly wood floors with a few area rugs. Wife insisted on one more (this model) which is nowhere as good as the older Dyson we had. The Hoover we just tried cleans as well as the Dyson but is much cheaper. It was half the price so if lasts half as long I am still ahead

Mine too I've had the DC07 for over 10 years with no problems, I am considering a new one and passing the other down - I just bought my daughter a vacuum for $125 and it has no where near the suction of the Dyson

Why didn't get her a Dyson as well? Lol. I honestly will not buy another brand after being trying impressed with Dyson. I guess when you make good reliable products, you will automatically earn customer loyalty.
