So are these any good? I was looking at getting into bow hunting but have a shoulder injury, never been measured, etc. I wanted something super adjustable so I could start low and move up in the same bow as skills and shoulder allow. (Also have an 11 year old son that wants to bow hunt and would like to be able to hand it down to him)
I was looking at the Diamond SB-1 as it seemed to fit the bill but best deal on those I've seen is around $350
Thoughts from bow hunters out there?

Looks like the top one (Cabela's Credence Black Compound-Bow Package Powered by BOWTECH) is OOS
So is Quest™ Forge D.T.H. Compound-Bow Package

So I ended up grabbing the Influence because they were going fast and it seems like the Influence has the most adjustability. $199 but they got me for $15 sales tax because of Bass Pro Shop!
Any input while I can still cancel?

The Diamond SB-1 is an excellent bow and I highly recommend it. You can also look at the Bear Apprentice 3. They both offer a lot of adjustments that will get you through your shoulder issue and will work for you son as well. My son (15) shoots the Apprentice 3 and has for the past 4 years, i had him shoot both and the Bear just fit him better as he has a smaller frame. I have been shooting for 30+ years and used to sell PSE and Matthews equipment. Do not get a $150 bow, they are toys!

BTW most archery places have ranges. If you are close to a Cabela's or a Bass Pro they typically have a range as well so you can try them out before buying them.

The nearest BPS is several hours from me. Looks like the Influence is pretty solid, making the "Best Buy" ratings in a few magazines. (Outdoor Life did a good rating) It seems these are pretty much a Bowtech Fuel. I guess for $215 I can't go wrong, I'm sure I could re-sell for that.

I'm sure you will like it , I would have bought one of these if I didn't already have a bow

Now I need a release. T.R.U. Ball® Bone Collector Bandit Release is on sale for $20, would that be ok to get me going until I figure out what I like/need?

It might be ok just to start with to get by . I've been using the Tru-fire edge fb release for 9 years without a problem. I like how I can adjust the length.

The Bandit is adjustable, but not as easily as others, it'll be fine.

I just read that OL review. Sounds like you made a good choice and didn't break the bank. Welcome to the sport, I think you'll like it.

Just bought my first compound-bow!!! Went with the Credence by Bowtech based on the reviews and its left handed which works on great considering I am left eye dominant.

No matter what you get, just be sure to get it tuned properly. All your skill and practice in building solid form is lost when the bow is not tuned correctly.

What's the difference between the 1st and 3rd links?

(my links won't copy/paste)

Other than the obvious color... the black one has a list price $50 higher but both have the same sale price. Anyone know the difference?
