I have the 650W version of this and it has given me nothing but hell. I'm on my *FOURTH* replacement. I had to pay for shipping each time to ship this piece of garbage back as well (I basically ended up paying for another PSU in shipping costs). The fourth one evidently was my lucky charm and hasn't had any issues but I will never buy another EVGA power supply ever again.

Yeah I read something about EVGA not giving Hard forums review units because it turned out they were crap quality PSU.

Ended grabbing the $77 Seasonic 850W Gold PSU a few weeks ago.

When adding a new deal, be sure to add the price to the title. You can edit your post (on a desktop browser), and click 'Go Advanced', then add the price after rebate (AR) to the title, so it's easier to see the title when scanning the forums. Thumbup

What issue did you have? My computer sometimes fries USB storage devices, I was wondering if it was because of the EVGA PSU.

You can check out all the problems people had with the 650W version of this one here:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6817438055

But basically the power supply would cause the computer to randomly restart. Sometimes at random, but seemingly the restarts would happen whenever you did something that would tax it (like playing a game). If you turned off eco mode, the power supply was more stable but the random restarts would still happen.

Two of the power supplies exhibited this restart problem from the beginning and the third placement started having issues about a month later. This fourth (and hopefully final) one hasn't had any random restarts and seems stable.

Not HDD(yet) but it fries flash drives, SD card etc, the worst one is that it once fried the SD card reader and the card at the same time.

The top-rated SeaSonic 850watt 80 Gold+ Fully modular was $77 after $10 rebate a couple weeks ago. That was a much better deal than this.

Tempting. If this was a seasonic, then it's a no brainier. But since this is not, I have to think about it.
