I don't know much about this TV or the brand, but may be a good deal for some.

I had never heard it either....but looking at Amazon, customer states "BOLVA is a trademark of the USA based electronics manufacturer Broad Electronics (America), Inc. " and "The manufacturer is Bolva located in China"
Has 3 5 star reviews on Amazon...but only 3 reviews.
At least it comes with 1 year (US) warranty....

Edit: And NewEgg has a 5 star review, as well.

Not to say this is a GREAT tv, but seems like a few people find it a good value...

Who knows Smilie

They were told to name it something that rhymes with a female body part, so it was either this of Boloris.

I think this is nice for xmas for my daughter's room to upgrade her 32".

Her old TV is a Cosmo or something, so I am not shy when it comes to weird names.

Not really they aren't worth it. You could plug in a amazon fire stick or google chromecast for cheap and make it a smart tv.

This is when it was sold for $150 on black friday I got mine here is the review:

Got mine today, very nice picture quality for the price, waiting for Discover PP right now.
Mine did have a very sensitive screen a light touch would cause that area to have the white pressure mark, and I had a white spot (not a dead or stuck pixel but like a pressure spot?), have contacted Amazon where I got it from for a replacement. But a quick review of the tv:

Overall great tv the picture quality is fantastic the sound isn't the best but just use a cheap sound bar I am calibrating it for playing video games and watching TV and movies. Not bad quality for $150, the tv legs are plastic but the entire back housing of the TV is a metal housing which is a really nice touch especially if you want to mount it the tv itself I was very surprised feels very very sturdy and solid but not heavy, the bezels are plastic also but are black and thin so not bad, has a really old looking remote. Has alot of HDMI ports and the picture quality is fantastic especially considering I got it for $150, used it as a computer monitor too the 4K picture quality is very sharp and bright/vivid color in a dark or dim room, not much lag, or motion blur. Great tv for my own room to use as a monitor/gaming monitor and movie tv.
