I have owned a saris freedom rack, which this Allen rack is trying to replicate on a cheaper scale. The saris is great and can be had under $200 and used in full confidence. but these tray style racks really rely on the part that secures the bike. if you want to go with a cheap rack, go with the allen trunk rack or even the nashbar branded hitch rack or similar.

if you have a $30 goodwill bike, this is probably fine.

if you have a bike worth anything I'd probably not trust it to some cheap carrier.

You get what you pay for. Expect it to be extremely poorly made, make a lot of noise in the hitch and eventually rust and/or fail.

Very typical of cheap products - highly inflated retail cost with a "super discount" .... This is a $30 bike carrier, selling for $32. Read the reviews!
