I remember playing the ROM on PC, and getting the controls to work.
I swore if they ever released it on the PC, that i would buy it.
Hopefully the developers are getting a good cut.

Is this the same thing as the Okami console game, just in HD? or a different game?

Awesome, awesome game back in the days. Not sure if I would dish out that much for a remastered game, personally I would wait a while longer. What they really need is to have okami 2! I know little lots of folks would be all over that!

This is kind of the problem. No one pays for the game. The original PS2 game did not sell well, the Wii version did not sell well, and any other subsequent versions did not sell well, despite all the awards and praise. CAPCOM has no incentive to make a second. That's also why they closed Clover studio soon after the game released. Awards and praise don't cover the cost of making a sequel.

That's sad man. Having played through the original on ps2, i can honestly say it's one of the best games I played in years. The artwork and concept was amazing at the time, and I think it still stands well to today's standards. Need more games like this! Thanks for the background info bro!

I did my part. I bought for PS2, Wii and PS3. If it gets a Switch release, I will buy for my GF. Outstanding game.

It is baffeling to me that this isn't coming to Switch. That said, for $13 I'm buying this for PC to at least support it.

I had the PS2 version, then the Wii version, then the PS3 version. I never got around to finishing the Wii or PS2 versions since they fell short in many ways. Hoping this remaster/port is awesome.

Will definitely buy a switch version if it ever releases.

I remember how much I loved this game...I spent 80 completely happy hours doing everything. Got it on the Wii, motion controls were perfect. I really want to support it...but I can't imagine playing it on anything but the Wii. Though actually I'd still buy it, a bigger part of me doesn't want to support because if Capcom sees it selling well, they'll hack together a Frankenstein Okami 2 but it just won't be the same. Clover Studios is scattered to the wind and I don't think they'll do it justice.

I bought this when it was released on PS2 and loved it. Also bought the PS3 version but I was glad I didn't get to it before this was announced since this version is in 4k which is what I wanted.

Is this any different than the HD remaster they did on PS3?
