Hello!

I own this and a few other Dewalt styles of jackets so ask away!

This is a great jacket. I use the original batteries but also my XR up to 5ah. Depends on how much you want hanging off you in the pocket on the side.

Has two modes and i usually only find myself using high to get started. The adapter does have a few USB ports so you can charge devices. I think more people were impressed by that then the warmth. Ha.

I would highly reccomended!

The battery is a 1.5 amp hour DCB201 The runtime on each setting is: Low= 7.5 hours, Medium= 3.8 hours, and High= 1.9 hours.

I've been looking at something like this for several years (mainly for tailgating a football games. Is the fabric more Carhart-like, or is it something else?

This is just USB powered right? So the adapter can also be used to charge phones and other USB batteries can power the jacket as well correct?

Dewalt site description:
Up to 5.5 Hours of runtime on low setting using the 20V MAX* compact 1.5 Ah battery.

Dewalt site features:
Up to 7 hours of runtime on low setting using the 20V MAX* compact 1.5Ah battery.

Amazon reviews:
On low it lasts me just over six hours and about four and a half hours on medium with a freshly charged 20v, I haven't tried a 12v.

The default / compact battery last 8 or so hours on low, few hours on High.

Not completely unfortunate. it's warm but only for an hour or two, battery is huge and heavy, battery only last up to two hours if that, continuous detaching every time you bump into something. I have a few batteries so that helps.

Fist issue is the battery only lasts about 2.5 hours on medium heat, not anywhere near 7.5 hours as implied by the manufacturer. Low heat is really low sp if that is the setting to have 7 hours of heat, you won't be warm in the cold.

Conclusion:
Conflicting info from user reviews on battery life on each setting, some great and some bad.
Additional conflicting info on durability on how it holds up to heavy use, some great and some bad.

Additional info:
Premium 20V MAX* batteries stored in an efficient battery pocket.

Battery pockets expands to accept DEWALT XR 4.0 Ah battery packets

USB power source with 2 USB power ports.

With the included battery i typically got 2 hours in high and 2-4 on low. But i will tell you that most times i used the jacket i did not have it in all the time. It gets too warm so I would turn it in to warm up then kill it for a bit.

Hello,

It is powered from the dewalt battery and then has the USB ports to charge out to devices. I havam never tried plugging in to USB port to provide power to the jacket.

The adapter plugs into the battery clip with a standard style barrel plug. So I'm sure you could find the right adapter if you wanted to plug it in.

I own this jacket and got mine for $99 - $20 in points at sears. These go lower than this every single year, just wait until january-ish.

I like mine, it heats up very quickly and is pretty rugged on the exterior. I did bust the exterior pocket within about 3 months, but the interior one is doing fine. (You have this protrusion on your back left side, very awkward.)

This isn't a "HOT" deal but is a decent price if you want it NOW.

I have used this to heat my jacket and charge my cellphone via the usb port at the same time.

Hello, yes this jacket is very Carhart like. They make a hoodie style and others as well but this is the only one currently on sale.
